The Little Things

Sometimes the smallest things can make a positive difference.  I know when you think of this statement it is usually used in the context of helping another but what about those little things for yourself?  This year I purchased two treats for myself. The first is a key fob cover for my car key.  Who knew there was such a thing.  The one I bought is white and sparkly.  It is amazing how this item that was less than $15 makes me feel so put together. The silicon cover took my boring black and silver key fob and made it fantastic!

My second purchase was a bit pricey coming in at about $25 but it is custom.  I finally bought a book embosser.  I love that I can now mark my books without scribbling my name on the inside cover. It probably took over a year for me to decide which design to order as there are so many that fit any mood you may be in.  I stuck to looking for something with a simple design with just a touch of flair. Most of the embossers I found were round but with my last initial once I saw the square one I knew it was the one.  Again, this little purchase gives me that polished feeling.  The funny thing is I had wanted the embosser for years but easily talked myself out of it because, why did I need it.  Honestly, no I don’t need either item but if they make my day a bit brighter then why not?  Is there some little purchase that makes you feel this way?  Is there something you want that you put off buying for yourself?  Please tell me about it in the comments.
