Hold Pattern

There have been many changes in the past year and I allowed this uncertainty to be an excuse to not do. Much of the past year has felt like a hurry up and wait. The youngest was accepted to college out of state, there were travel plans for new student orientation and official move in day. Oh, and throw in prom and high school graduation in between. Add in the graduation party. Trying to get into a new routine but nothing has felt right. Thanksgiving is here before you know it and I didn’t even cook a turkey. Here comes December and we have the middle kids’ college graduation, road trip! All the kids home for Christmas, then they leave. It was a cold winter, which did not help with getting back to my exercise program. The impromptu vacation in February was a much needed get-a-way. Then fast forward to May and it is time to bring the kid home from college, flight out, road trip home. Throw in a weekend trip to New York for good measure. As I sit here in June thinking the summer is flying by, I want to hit the emergency brake and slow it down!
I want to get back to my healthy eating plan and exercise routine. I want to get back into the groove of writing and posting to my blog. I feel I have not only neglected my readers but also myself. Thank you for bearing with me as I navigate life. Obviously there is plenty for me to write about in my life, now I just have to sit down and do it. How have you been feeling this year? Please share some of your highs and lows, I am interested to hear.

So glad to hear that I’m not the only one who feels this way. Like I was on autopilot and things were just happening to me as I was numb.

You have been through so much lately, it is understandable. Time to start shaking things up!

I have missed you, my friend
I have a new job. I’m a bus aid on Lower Township elementary school bus from memorial the pre-K.
There are about 30 children on the bus I work only four hours a day 7 AM to 9 AM 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM I really like it. I started this past December and working only four hours gives me time to be the senior warden of the Church and the manager of the Thrift Store, which are both doing very well.
For this summer, I’m going to once again be a Camp counselor for the Lower Township rec center. I’ll have 20 kindergarten first graders.
With my aid, they’ll be 80 children at the camp this year. It should be interesting to see how it goes. We had a lot of fun last year. I’m hoping for the same this year.
And then I’ll be back to my winter job come, September
I hope the girls are well
Paul is working at the Wawa in Cape May and Luke is washing dishes at Granna restaurant in West Cape May
You should stop by the store any Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM just to get a hug
Take care, say hi to the girls for me ❤️
