Making my Commute More Productive-Podcasts

My commute to and from work is about an hour each way, until Covid it never bothered me. Once Covid forced me to work from home for about a month, I realized just what I could do with an extra two hours everyday! I also noticed how dirty I let my car get, but we will save that for another blog. So what to do with two hours each day while driving? Obviously, I had been listening to music but some days this felt wasteful, I could do better. One of my friends likes to listen to audio books on their commute. I worried that would not be a safe option for me, when I read I lose track of things around me. During Covid many people shifted gears and were trying new ways to connect with people. A running coach I follow offered a free ten day workshop. It was an hour each day and I learned so much. These sessions were held in the evening but what if I listened to something like this while driving? Next came the free three day seminar by a very famous motivational speaker. I did not listen to live since the sessions were during the work day but it was perfect for listening to in the car. I am now hooked on listening to self-improvement podcasts during my commute. I have also found many of the self-help authors I like to read have their own sites with so much more information. The down side is that I cannot take notes, but if something really resonates with me I will listen to it again later at home so I can take notes. I find these podcasts help reinforce what I have read. If you commute to work, what are some things you do to pass the time? I would like to hear about them in the comments.
