Halloween 2021

Halloween has come and gone and it was very blah for me this year.  As my girls are getting older things change each year.  This year the middle child went to visit with friends for the weekend and it was just me and the youngest. Waiting till the last minute we carved pumpkins just after lunch on Halloween.  I decided not to wear a costume as I just could not decide what to wear.  I opted for a Halloween tee shirt.  The youngest was invited to trick or treat with friends so we met up with them in Cape May.  Yes, I still take my child trick or treating.  I may tell you it is to keep them out of trouble but I really just enjoy the atmosphere and festivities and as long as I keep getting invited, I will go.  I had never been trick or treating in Cape May before and it was decided to go on Washington Street.  The home town feel was great, so many home owners went all out with their decorations.  The leaf cluttered street and the smell of fire pits really put me in the Halloween mood and it turned out to be a nice night. After completing the street we parted ways and I took my child on our usual Halloween route. We stop by friends to say hi and show off the yearly costume.
