Clothing Reset

Most January’s I like to start fresh.  As the previous year comes to an end I purge my closet of items I did not wear or that do not fit well.  Once the new year begins I turn all of my hangers facing out.  As the days go by and I wear an item, when it is returned to the closet I put the hanger back the normal way.  At the end of the year I can see what clothes I wore and assess the ones I did not.  Some of the clothes I did not wear may be special items like my ski pants, we did not ski last year or get enough snow for me to play in, the ski pants get to stay. The sweater dress that looks great on the hanger but I feel is too clingy went to the thrift store along with a few shirts that did not get worn.  I also like the challenge of trying to wear all of the items in my closet.  Some of my closet organizing tips:  I purchased childrens hangers for my pants. I do not remember where I read this tip but it really makes the row of pants look neater.  I use different color hangers for my shirts, pants and dresses.  My clothes are ordered from long sleeve to sleeveless and by rainbow color.  Items are separated coats, jackets, vest, shirts, sports team clothing, skirts, and pants.  What are your tips for closet organization?  Please share them in the comments.  Thank you for reading!
