Emergency Stop Button!

I started this endeavor of creating a blog over the Christmas holiday thinking I would have some time to get it done.  I bookmarked a Facebook ad about how to create a blog and my Christmas break seemed like a good time to read it; little did I know it was a five-day class to have a blog up and running!  I jumped in with both feet and I did it, but I didn’t stop there.  I also started my first Twitter page I added a second Instagram changed my Pinterest to a business page and made a new page on my Facebook linking everything.  Next, I wrote a couple of blog posts.  Then popped up a free class to increase my followers.  Against my better judgment, I jumped into that too.  I work at a community college and classes just started this week, last week was crazy busy trying to get everything set for the first day so of course, I would sign up for a class to learn more to help my blog.  I don’t like to disappoint anyone, and I often think I can do it all, I don’t usually admit otherwise.  Recently I have been trying to be kinder to myself and for once I recognized I was in over my head, I took on too much.  So, I hit the emergency stop button!  I stopped doing the class and I enlisted my girls to help around the house a bit more and the world did not end!  The reality is that the class will run again, and I can try it again when I do not have so much on my plate.  I know many moms that push themselves to do everything for everyone to the detriment of their well-being, we need to learn that it is fine to hit the emergency stop button and regroup.  Part of my regrouping will be to put together a better plan to incorporate time to dedicate to my blog.  I hope you bear with me as I figure this all out.
