2022 Ski Adventure Continued
Sunday morning we woke up to a couple of inches of snow and it was still snowing. Perk of the hotel was now the parking garage that kept the car snow free and made it easier to get ready to leave. We headed back to the mountain for a morning tubing session. The falling snow and fresh powder on the mountain make me want to ski another day but I know that is not practical on the day we need to drive home, so tubing it is. There are about ten lanes and it is not crowded at first. After a few runs more people arrive but it is not overly crowded and wait times are not bad. The first run down is always an eye opener for me, I forget how fast those tubes can go! The landing is a bit treacherous trying to stop at the end and I am mindful of my healing ankle. As I walk up to get back in line, I fall on an ice patch hurting my wrist. I alert the attendant to the icy area and I am impressed by the time I get back from my next run they have a rug over the area, I apparently was not the only one that fell. With only a half hour left I continue tubing and ignore the injury. Our session ends and I go to the first aid station to get some ice. I am now adding a ziploc bag to my packing list, that is all they did was grab some snow and put it in a bag. I could have saved myself some time! We change and go to lunch. Lunch is Panera, we had dinner there Friday night but since the closest Panera to our home is about 90 minutes away the girls wanted to eat there again. I often order the same thing from restaurants when I find something I really like but I ventured out of my comfort zone and ordered the mac and cheese grilled cheese. Wow! So glad I did it was amazing. After lunch the plan was to drive home so the little one could submit a paper that was due before 6pm. The hotel wifi was not letting her submit, but Panera’s did, so a pitstop to Lush at the King of Prussia mall could occur. For those that know me, I have to be in the mood to shop. Most of the time I attack shopping like a search and destroy mission. As we wanted to get home around dinner time this would be such a trip, the target was Lush and a face wash needed to be purchased. Once at Lush we browsed a bit and I thought maybe we could browse some more before getting back on the road. The little one needed some shirts so we took a lap through Forever21. My browsing threshold was reached, after checking out it was back to the car and head home. It would take me three days to finally unpack and get the wash done. The wrist turned out to be fine, just sore for a couple of days. Have you taken any trips this winter or are you planning any for spring? I would love to hear about your adventures.
